As part of this year's event, the Fridley and Columbia Heights Rotary has partnered with Charlie and Bill Bristow of Charlie's Golfing Club to support Charlie's charities of choice.
Charlie, 23, who has Autism is raising money through his Tour and individual events to support Fraser, the Autism Society of Minnesota, and Special Adventures.
In the past 10 years, he has raised $40,553. This year, he is playing at 50 different golf courses in Alberta & British Columbia in Canada plus Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin. His goal this year is $4,000 and will start the season on April 3rd in Pampa, Texas. His best round of golf was in 2020 as he shot a 74 at Oak Marsh GC (Oakdale, MN). He is also a two time (2017 & 2018) Minnesota Special Olympics Nine-hole golf champion.
For this event, with a group donation of $20, Charlie would be the fifth golfer, taking the first tee shot and first putt for each group as the group can use Charlie’s shot to benefit their position.
We look forward to working with Charlie to help support Fraser, the Autism Society of Minnesota, and Special Adventures.
